World reference and identity guide
This reference supports all twelve novels and their complete parallel Codex. The Omnoid frame, distinct source/aspect/incarnation identities, agency-based ethics and lasting consequences across different clocks are approved directions. Detailed names, reconciliations and mechanics below are editorial proposals, including material inherited from older drafts. Their presence does not mean the author has adopted every claim.
How the cosmology fits together
The Omnoid is the larger frame. Historical Earth and the proposed realms are local settings or experiences within that frame, rather than a ladder of increasingly worthy people. A journey may change how somebody can take form without making that person a new owner’s property. Returning to life or remembering a former life does not restore a world that waited unchanged.
The older material contains three incompatible numbered systems. We preserve them by distinguishing realm geography, gate functions, and cultivation vocabularies. The Threshold can be a place and a similarly named operation without being the sixth realm merely because a gate table lists it sixth. Crown can be a realm name and a stage label without making the two interchangeable. This separation is a proposed reconciliation, not a claim about the author’s unstated intention.
The Mother and Lilith remain distinguishable. One may express an aspect of the other while retaining an independent biography, agency and right to refuse. The Father is a candidate aspect of the First Flame. Lucifer’s light is not automatically identical to the source flame. Mary’s motherhood does not establish identity with the Mother. The Architect is indexed as a role because the original and V2 disagree about who occupies it.
Darkness, power and responsibility
These ethical principles do not make the fictional world harmless. Characters and institutions can coerce, exploit, misinterpret, kill and refuse repair. The story follows the effects on people and places. It does not make power, antiquity, divine rank or narrative importance an exemption from responsibility. Nor does it require injured people to forgive so that a protagonist’s arc can feel complete.
Repair requires changed conditions. Restitution, food, shelter, changed institutions, restored choices and sustained care can matter more than a speech. A return or a recovered name leaves other people’s grief and decisions intact. Humour can expose divine bureaucracy, status anxiety and self-importance while leaving the suffering beneath them real.
What the mathematics establishes
Three distinguished eight-sided dice provide twenty-four named faces and 512 ordered combinations. Equal chances require the additional assumptions that the dice are fair and independent; those assumptions have not been adopted as the actual magical rules. The formal check verifies the arithmetic, not divination.
The Omnoid and Wolfspace source papers contain unresolved mathematical language. A picture of a torus is not proof of a physical theory. The internal notes preserve the source conflicts and use only bounded, explicit arithmetic models for elapsed time. They make no claim that fictional travel, consciousness or afterlife mechanisms are established science.
Navigation and spoiler policy
The identity index is a writer-facing reference. Its first-safe chapter values are proposed reveal positions that must be reconciled with the narrative outline. A reader edition should filter facts by the chapter reached. This complete reference intentionally exposes later candidates so the writing team can detect contradictions.
The editable atlas preserves named relations, broad locations and sequence. It loses true distance between realms, exact historical roads and any universal rate between clocks. Its map legends state these limits directly.
Realms
| Realm | Role | Clock | Cost or failure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Omnoid | A containing relation, not an extra numbered biome. | Unknown; no global clock has been established. | No map can make every history simultaneously readable. |
| Earth / historical world | The biblical and historical spine, with geographic and cultural specificity. | Historical dating when supported; otherwise relative story order. | Distance, institutions, bodies and material scarcity matter. |
| Fundament | Baseline embodied experience in the Unraveling vocabulary. | Local rate unknown. | Ordinary vulnerability persists even when other realms are perceived. |
| Threshold | Traversable liminality; places become accessible under stated local conditions. | Rate and transit duration must be set scene by scene. | Disorientation, missed appointments and incompatible passage terms. |
| Labyrinth | Paths and alternatives may be encountered without deleting enacted history. | Sequence is known only along a traveller’s own route. | Confusing a possible self with the person who owes a present obligation. |
| Reflection | Encounter with contested self-image and other witnesses. | No universal conversion to Earth time. | Insight may be partial; reflected agreement is not consent. |
| Engine | Experience of local reality’s mechanisms. | Causal processes need declared before/after ordering. | Intervention has system-wide costs; explanatory access is not unlimited power. |
| Web | Connections and their histories made navigable. | Concurrent contacts may have different experienced durations. | Connection can burden, expose or betray; participation is revocable. |
| Sight | Perception and interpretation become terrain. | Observation order differs from event order. | Seeing one view does not settle all testimony. |
| Crown | A high-order meeting with the limits of an individual perspective. | Access duration unestablished. | Scale can obscure individual suffering; no moral rank is granted. |
| Eden | The Garden of the selected narrative; its Earth coordinates are unestablished. | Source sequence only. | Leaving changes relationships and conditions; no easy return erases exile. |
| Lost domains | Four missing domains in older drafts; loss, hiddenness and inaccessibility are distinct possibilities. | Unknown. | Do not import recovered realms without accounting for inhabitants and elapsed time. |
| Gyre / Eight Reaches | Sevenfold Theft topology, provisionally held beside the biblical series. | Its chronology is uncorrelated with Earth. | No crossover is established solely by a torus, a Threshold or seven Thrones. |
| Wolfspace pockets | Folded-access motif in the Sevenfold companion paper. | Unknown; its equations do not supply a validated conversion. | Pocket accessibility and costs require a future adopted rule. |

Factions and internal tensions
These groupings are planning candidates, not permission to flatten entire historical peoples into one faction.
Firstborn assemblies (F-FIRSTBORN)
Keep creation intelligible and preserve senior status. Its means include knowledge, access and interpretation. Care for younger beings competes with entitlement.
Archonic administrations (F-ARCHONS)
Maintain a chosen order even when it requires denial. Its means include permission, naming, confinement and selective testimony. Officers know different portions of the harm they enable.
Watchers (F-WATCHERS)
Observe and sometimes cross the boundary into participation. Its means include distance, archives and forbidden instruction. Detachment can conceal responsibility rather than avoid it.
Covenant households (F-COVENANT-HOUSES)
Survive, inherit and interpret promises. Its means include kinship, labour, food and marriage arrangements. Household belonging can protect one person while expelling another.
Egyptian imperial institutions (F-IMPERIAL-EGYPT)
Maintain labour, supply and royal order. Its means include bureaucracy, force, ritual and grain. Ordinary workers, officials and rulers must not become one moral silhouette.
Wilderness assembly (F-WILDERNESS-ASSEMBLY)
Keep a displaced community alive and negotiate authority. Its means include food allocation, law, worship and collective sanction. Survival does not eliminate dissent or legitimate coercion.
Royal houses (F-ROYAL-HOUSES)
Consolidate land, inheritance and legitimacy. Its means include taxation, courts, armies and sacred patronage. Subjects benefit unevenly; internal rivals retain their own reasons.
Prophetic witnesses (F-PROPHETIC-WITNESSES)
Contest abuses and communicate situated visions. Its means include speech, performance, memory and risk. Sincerity is not omniscience; different witnesses can conflict.
Assyrian, Babylonian and Persian administrations (F-IMPERIAL-CENTRES)
Different states with different aims; never a single unchanged empire. Its means include deportation, tribute, rebuilding, appointments and archives. Administrative continuity can coexist with changed rulers and changed policy.
Diaspora communities (F-DIASPORA-COMMUNITIES)
Preserve life and belonging across changed places. Its means include language, care, trade, story and local alliances. Preservation and adaptation create real internal disagreement.
Resistance networks (F-RESISTANCE-NETWORKS)
Resist imposed domination. Its means include secrecy, force, testimony and solidarity. Victory can reproduce the extraction it opposed.
Jesus movement (F-JESUS-MOVEMENT)
Teach, heal, share, argue and bear witness under empire. Its means include meals, journeys, words and personal commitment. Followers disagree about risk, meaning and leadership.
Early assemblies (F-EARLY-ASSEMBLIES)
Build communities from divergent histories and expectations. Its means include letters, hospitality, funds and competing authority claims. A letter’s remedy can become later domination when stripped of circumstance.
Copyists and custodians (F-COPYISTS)
Carry texts through vulnerable material and political conditions. Its means include selection, copying, translation, preservation and loss. Transmission can be care, error, adaptation or control; establish evidence per case.
Concordat (F-CONCORDAT)
Investigate and coordinate modern awakening. Its means include research, resources, secrecy and interpretation. Preparedness is not permission to direct another life.
Coalition (F-COALITION)
Coordinate defence and repair across independent groups. Its means include shared knowledge, commitments and local competence. Cooperation can fail without making every dissenter a villain.
Seven Thrones (F-THRONES)
Maintain their positions within the Gyre candidate continuity. Its means include interception of quintessence in sevenfold theft. Imported villain logic must not automatically redefine every biblical deity.
Capabilities, costs and failure
Cross-section travel
Capability: Move a consenting traveller into another locally lawful expression. Conditions: A compatible destination, an adopted route and an elapsed-time contract. Costs: Energy, delay, exposure and interruption of obligations. Failure: Failed compatibility can leave the traveller unable to embody. Limit: Access is not permission; nobody else’s biography is reset.
Reincarnation / resurrection
Capability: A continuity may acquire renewed local expression. Conditions: Continuity evidence and a receiving substrate; exact mechanism unestablished. Costs: Lost time, changed relationships, care and uncertain recall. Failure: Mistaken identity, incomplete recall or inability to return. Limit: No guaranteed return and no cancellation of another person’s death.
Re-cohering
Capability: Integrate a prior capability or memory into the present. Conditions: A specific recoverable state and consent to the encounter. Costs: Fatigue, reinterpretation and conflict with present commitments. Failure: Confabulation or incompatible self-states. Limit: Retrieval is not retroactive consent or rewriting.
HALO practice
Capability: Use FLOW, MIRROR and GATE as a bounded choice grammar. Conditions: Three distinguished dice / domains; actual magical mechanics pending. Costs: Attention, commitment, risk and consequences of interpretation. Failure: Misreading, bias or a mismatch between intent and action. Limit: A roll does not override agency or prove metaphysical truth.
Extended perception
Capability: Encounter information unavailable to an ordinary local perspective. Conditions: A declared perceptual scope and a named witness. Costs: Overload, uncertainty and changed responsibility. Failure: Confusing probability, reflection or testimony with fact. Limit: Perception cannot supply consent on another’s behalf.
Naming
Capability: Address, distinguish or coordinate with a particular identity. Conditions: Enough context to distinguish source, role and incarnation. Costs: Exposure and responsibility for a claim made publicly. Failure: Misidentification, coercive naming or inherited slurs. Limit: A name is neither a deed of ownership nor a universal control word.
Repair
Capability: Change damaged conditions through material action and accountability. Conditions: The harmed party’s needs and retained right to refuse reconciliation. Costs: Labour, resources, restitution and lost privilege. Failure: Performative apology, recidivism or an offered remedy that deepens harm. Limit: The perpetrator cannot declare the victim healed.
Shared power
Capability: Coordinate separate agents without collapsing their identities. Conditions: Revocable agreements, visible costs and realistic shared capacity. Costs: Time, conflicting priorities and responsibility for dependent others. Failure: Capture by a leader, silent exclusion or broken commitments. Limit: Dissent is not proof of corruption.
Gate functions and cultivation
The twelve gate functions are: Growth, Flux, Breath, Reflection, Radiance, Threshold, Memory, Stillness, Depth, Flame, Song, Transcendence. The last four are reported lost in an older table; neither their physical location nor their recovery is settled. No gate is automatically the realm with the same number.
The Codex ladder is Spark → Kindling → Flame → Blaze → Conflagration → Sun → Constellation. The V2 ladder is Spark-Touched → Flame-Kindled → Triple-Cast → Axis-Walker → Labyrinth-Weaver → Oracle → Crown. No equivalence between their individual stages is asserted.
Glossary
Omnoid
The approved larger cosmological frame. The diagram shows conceptual relations, not a scientific model.
Cross-section
A locally experienced world or moment within the larger frame; its exact geometry is not yet adopted.
Worldline
The ordered sequence a being or community lives through. A later return does not delete earlier experience.
Source
An originating identity or principle. A source is not interchangeable with every expression attributed to it.
Aspect
A particular relational or functional expression of a source, indexed separately from the whole.
Manifestation
A local appearance or acting presence. Its claimed source may be accurate, mistaken or deceptive.
Incarnation
An embodied life with its own biography and agency, even when continuity with another life is established.
Identity claim
A proposition about who someone is. Names, resemblance and memories are evidence to examine, not automatic proof.
Continuity
What persists across changes of embodiment. The project has not adopted a universal test for proving it.
Aura
The outward expression of spirit in the Omnoid source vocabulary; not a diagnostic claim about real people.
Soul
The inward continuity vocabulary of the cosmology; its status here is literary/metaphysical, not measured physical substance.
Machine layer
The Omnoid source’s term for local form and the conversion between intention and expression; not necessarily metal machinery.
Flesh
The vulnerable embodied surface. Cosmic significance does not prevent bodily pain, hunger or exhaustion.
Bone
The structural layer of embodiment in the inherited vocabulary; not an exact anatomical system for every realm.
Throat
The proposed passage where inward and outward expression meet. It is not a route through another’s consent.
Substrate
The local conditions in which a being can take form; different settings may require different lawful expression.
Re-crystallization
The inherited term for forming a local expression again. Its available mechanisms and costs remain proposals.
Re-cohering
Recovering or integrating something into the present without erasing the intervening history.
Selective retroactivity
An inherited phrase requiring care: this project interprets it as present integration, not the power to overwrite another life.
Realm
A traversable or experienceable domain. It is not automatically a gate function or a stage of personal growth.
Fundament
Baseline embodied reality in the Unraveling vocabulary; the relationship to historical Earth is a candidate mapping.
Threshold
Liminal geography. The similarly named gate function is a different indexed category.
Labyrinth
The domain of choices and alternatives in V2; encountering alternatives does not erase the enacted path.
Reflection
The realm of contested self-perception; also a separately indexed gate function and a common word.
Engine
The V2 domain of local reality’s mechanisms. It is not the whole Omnoid or every being’s Machine layer.
Web
Navigable relations. Connected people remain separate agents with different obligations.
Sight
A realm and a capacity concerned with perception. Neither guarantees truth or sound judgment.
Crown
A realm and a V2 cultivation label. Their shared name does not establish identical meaning.
Gate function
One of the Codex’s twelve operative names: a function that may occur in multiple places.
Lost domain
A domain reported missing in an older draft. Destroyed, inaccessible and hidden are different states.
HALO
Hidden Axis Labyrinthine Oracle: a three-domain symbolic system inherited from existing drafts.
FLOW
HALO’s movement domain, containing eight named faces.
MIRROR
HALO’s reflection domain, containing eight named faces; not the same entity as the Reflection realm.
GATE
HALO’s choice and boundary domain, containing eight named faces; distinct from twelve gate functions.
Symbol
One named face. There are twenty-four across the three distinguished dice.
Ordered triple
One FLOW result, one MIRROR result and one GATE result in that domain order: 8 × 8 × 8 = 512 possibilities.
Cultivation
A vocabulary of acquired capacities and obligations. Existing ladders are preserved without declaring stage-by-stage equivalence.
The Mother
A primordial source candidate in the Codex. Lilith, Mary and every mother are not automatically the same person.
First Flame
A creative consciousness in existing drafts. A lightbearing descendant is not identical merely because both involve light.
Firstborn
Divine children in the inherited mythology; seniority does not grant ownership of later beings.
Archon
An authority figure or administration in the selected literary cosmology; historical traditions using this term require separate notes.
Watchers
A grouping whose observation and involvement vary by source; 1 Enoch must not be silently merged with every angel tradition.
Hollow
An unresolved draft concept spanning entropy, loneliness and damaged relation. Do not equate mental illness with moral corruption.
Architect
A role with competing occupant histories in Unraveling. Eve’s identification is a V2 proposal, not settled series canon.
Quintessence
The Five-Aspect soul-matter vocabulary of Sevenfold Theft; a neighbouring candidate system, not silently imported physics.
Gyre
The Sevenfold candidate’s cyclical world structure. Similarity to Omnoid imagery is insufficient to prove a shared setting.
Wolfspace
Pocket-dimension vocabulary from the in-world academic paper. Its equations are not treated as established mathematics or science.
Agency
A being’s capacity and standing to choose, refuse and act. Characters can violate it; the story records the consequences.
Consent
Specific, informed, revocable agreement. Silence, identity continuity or another version’s agreement is not a substitute.
Harm
Damage to a person or community, including coerced loss of agency; good intentions do not erase effects.
Responsibility
Answerability for choices and their effects, including the work required after unintended harm.
Repair
Material and relational work shaped by those harmed. It is different from demanding forgiveness.
Forgiveness
A possible choice belonging to the harmed party. It cannot be charged as the price of restitution.
Source-story order
The sequence in a particular text or the proposed braided outline; it does not itself establish historical dates.
Historical date
An independently supported period or range. Unknown remains unknown, rather than being back-calculated from symbolic ages.
Composition date
When a text or layer was written. Daniel’s narrated exile setting does not date the composition automatically.
Realm time
The clock adopted inside a domain, with no conversion until a relation is explicitly established.
Personal time
A character’s experienced duration, including intervals different from an outside observer’s calendar.
First-safe chapter
The earliest proposed reader access to a fact. It is spoiler management, not the date of the underlying event.
Lasting consequence
A changed condition carried into later scenes: a death, debt, disability, migration, promise, destroyed home or broken trust.
Source and authority notes
The source paths and bounded external references are recorded in world data. The existing Codex, Unraveling and Sevenfold manuscripts are source witnesses for literary content, not evidence of author adoption or historical truth. Omnoid source details beyond the approved larger frame remain candidates.
See the chronology, the atlas guide, and the internal reconciliation (unpublished source reference).
